Our adult day service program opened in 1995 and was licensed to serve six clients a day. As with our other programs, this one too has grown over the years. We now are licensed to serve 12 clients each day.
The Adult Day Service program is our strongest connection to the community as it permits potential nursing or residential care level people to continue to live in the community while receiving additional services.
We are proud to say that we have been in business serving adult day service clients for over 12 years now. While other programs in the area have cut back or closed down, we continue to provide services.
Our staffing pattern exceeds state and federal requirements consistently.
As the regulations for adult day services are pretty much the same as the residential care regulations, Shelly Harlow is the Adult Day Services Director. Ronnie Sanborn is the Social Service Director and Michelle Corriveau is the program coordinator.
We recently moved the Adult Day Service program to a larger space on the second floor. Now they have more privacy and their own chair lift to assist those unable to climb stairs.
Cable television on a large flat screen TV, a large library of videocassettes and DVDs, and the availability of wireless Internet are just a few of the features we provide to the clients.
Renovations are now complete on the Adult Day Service bathroom including a spacious shower. This bathroom is fully handicapped accessible.
